Up for auction is an incredibly rare antique fire extinguisher bottle from the Ajax Fire Engine Works company of New York City, NY. I only saw one reference on the internet of this piece and it sold in an auction several years ago. I believe this type went on the old wagon fire engines. is what it says on the front of the bottle: "AJAX FIRE ENIGNE WORKS PUT LEAD STOPPER IN BOTTLE BEFORE PUTTING BOTTLE INTO ENGINE NEW YORK CITY U.S.A." This piece comes complete with the original lead stopper. It is in excellent condition on the entire body. The lip does had a big chip but cannot be seen when the stopper is in place. The lead stopper is extremely heavy which I'm sure is why the lip is chipped. It has a concave bottome with the number 151 on it. This piece is ABSOLUTELY AUTHENTIC and guaranteed to be an original with 100% money back. It measures 11 1/4" tall. Good luck and feel free to ask any quesitons. Insurance is mandatory on this item.
