This is a very fine porringer with a great patina, intricatecut-out old English handle. Although unmarked, I believe that this porringer was manufactured in New York, possibly by Fred Bassett. A porringer with the "Connecticut Old English" Handle is listed in "Guide to American Pewter" by Carl Jacobs, page 148, 2nd from the left. This porringer is very well made with very good linen marks. I offer this rare American pewter porringer here with the opening bid the reserve to be sold to the highest bidder. DIMENSIONS: 1 9/16" H. x 4 3/8" Dia. at the bowl x 6 1/4" L. at the handle. CONDITION: The condition is very good with no damage or repairs. There are some small dents and minor scratches to the body as well.
