Good antique, American, Victorian, solid tiger oak bookcase, hutch, secretary, circa 1880 . A very good, antique American Victorian bookcase, secretary hutch, circa 1880. To the top is an ornately carved crest, on the right is the original beveled mirror, below which is a fall-front secretary with a fitted interior, below this are three drawers with the original brass handles. The left side has a door with carvings to the top, enclosed are four adjustable shelves, the door has the original wavy glass, the bookcase stands on shaped bracket feet with incised carving , all the original brass pulls are present , dimensions 68" tall x 40.5" wide x 29.5" deep when writing surface is open x 15.5" deep when closed. It is constructed of the finest solid oak, that has been quatersawn giving a tiger stripe effect. Condition is very good, a good anytique American Victorian bbokacse secretary hutch circa 1880.
