Offered is an incredible little gem quality carved angel skin coral cameo brooch pin. This piece features two adorable cherubs, putti, angels-with beautiful faces, tiny wings and flowers in their hair. The coloring of the angel skin coral is magnificent and lends well to the subject. The detailing in this piece is amazing, the work of a master hand- museum quality work. This isn't a large piece, but it is exceptional in the workmanship and beauty. It is very rare for these delicate pieces to survive in such amazing condition through the years. I would date this piece to around 1870. It has the original old c clasp and t bar pin, with like new tension. It measures 1 1/4" long by 5/8" tall. This little beauty would make a wonder piece to give, wear or collect- representing the epitome of fine Victorian Grand Tour jewelry.
