A delightful, 19th century apothecary jar with original contents, together with it's boxwood case, the lid is stamped as follows- Roberts & Co. Chemists. *23, Place Vendome, Paris. *Premises now occupied by Cartier. Condition- Very good but with the following blemishes ! A little nick on the screw thread & a small hairline crack to base- both are miniscure & have no bearing on the appearance of this item. No damage to the glass bottle, although the stopper is sealed tight.
