Antique Armand Marseille 390 Bisque Socket Head Composition Wood Body 22" Antique Armand Marseille Bisque Socket head doll with composition and wood body. Measures 22". Back of head is incised/marked Armand Marseille Germany 390 A 5 M, bottom of body is red stamped Germany 2 &1/2. Sparse old mohair wig, cardboard pate. The head and body have some light soiling/dust, has not been cleaned for sale. We have checked her head with a flashlight, head is free of cracks, chips, repairs. There is a lot of residual dried glue and some wig hairs to the wig/pate area. There are 2 drill type manufacture holes to the back of head near marking, one is an open hole one is just "punched", seen in photos. Blue eyes are stationary. 4 upper teeth in open mouth. It appears that the arms/hands and legs/feet have been repainted at some time. We found the palms of hands have protruding wire/type shown, does not show to back of hands. She is wearing simple cotton dress, an older cotton slip (has discoloration), underpants. Fishnet type stockings have holes. The more modern rubber shoes are marked Cinderella to soles.
