ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU 10/12K GOLD DOUBLE 2 TWO SNAKE BLUE SAPPHIRE RING W/ORG/BOX Welcome to my auction - Up for your consideration is this fabulous antique Art Nouveau ring in the original green velvet box. The ring features two snakes wrapped around a beautiful dark blue sapphire stone (I am not a gemologist and the ring has not been appraised I do not know if the stone is real or not). The sides and going all around the ring, are decorated in a classic Art Deco/Nouveau style as shown. The ring is not marked but tests positive for 10k fails at 14K could be 12K. I am not sure because I have not cleaned it but the snakes look more like white gold while the sides/bad are more yellow gold, both areas have tested positive for 10k. Inside cover of the box says CC Faris Jeweler & Optician Marion IND South Side Square CONDITION - The ring is in fine, antique, pre-owned condition! Some normal age/use surface wear, - I have not cleaned or polished it - there is a crack in the stone that is inside of it, not on the surface and only visible when held a certain way. SIZE - Snake setting area measures approximately 13/16" long, 11/16" wide, stone measures about 9/16" by 3/8", band tapers down to a little more than 1/16". Inside diameter is 5/8" or .625 or 15.875mm making it a size 5 1/4 . A rare and intriguing Art Nouveau ring to give as a gift, wear yourself or add to your collection!
