Beautiful Art Nouveau solid silver nurse's belt buckle. It is hallmarked London 1904 and the maker is Samuel Jacob. It is hallmarked on both sides of the buckle; on the one side it has a full set of hallmarks and on the other side it has the maker stamp, the London stamps, but not the 1904 stamp. I presume this is so that the flow of the design was not interrupted. The buckle has a fabulous design, reminiscent of the period. It is a really beautiful piece.
