Up for your consideration is this fabulous rare Antique Austrian/Bohemian WS&S Wilhelm Schiller & Son Rare Majolica Vase . A cornucopia growing out of a rams head set upon a base made to resemble marble. A very colorful and ornate piece with a lot of detail and color. Im not sure what the symbolism means but it certainly is very Germanic in nature. There is a lot to love about this piece. its in very good condition with only minor signs of wear which amount to loss of color on the rim of the vase and the nose of the rams head, no chips no cracks and no repairs. There is fine crazing on the interior side of the vase. All mentioned for complete disclosure.The vase stands 10 /34 inches high The base is 9 X 4 1/4 inches.The diameter at the top is a little over 6 1/4 inches. The vase has the impressed ws&s mark under the base with mold number 247. It dates to the 1850s. A fine example of the art of Wilhelm Schiller & sons. I pack with bubble wrap and packing peanuts , shipping via Austria posts registered air parcel service with tracking number and insurance included.
