1920's Automatic Electric Monophone AE 2 Deskset The very first self contained deskset manufactured by anyone in the United States. This rare and collectable telephone was made from 1925 to 1933. It has been completely restored inside & out and is working perfectly. Extremely thick bakelite housing has been expertly buffed to a lustrous glow and is free of any chips, cracks or repairs, t is one small 1/2" scratch on the back, right below cradle, shown in the above photo. It's hard to see & barely noticeable. Brushed nickel fingerwheel & transmitter band. Nice nickel plated plunger & dial housing. All original Automatic Electric components with induction coil set up as booster type circuit. Refurbished clicking AE type 24 dial with the rural porcelain number plate. Brass gongs are perfectly tuned for the old time ring you only hear with this old phones. Handset was originaly inductor coil but is now regular and has newer A.E. receiver & transmitter. Original handset cord and high quality line cord with updated modular plug. Nice aluminum base plate with original screens. Every thing has been thoroughly checked, serviced and cleaned More photos below. Comes with a one year parts and labor warantee. Thanks.
