Antique late Victorian Tunbridge banded and Rosewood Jewellery box with lift out tray. (Boxwood/Satinwood) cartouche and key escutcheon. Retaining its original brass hinges, keep and lock (no key). Chequered tulipwood inlay which is entwined by further stained boxwoods and rosewood with satinwood squares that run from the top to bottom of the jewellery box. The interior has it's original paper removable lined tray. One side of the tray is unfixed and one side is missing. But the tray pan and two sides are sound, original and intact. Condition:- Minor knocks and scrathes commiserate with age. I can see a very small piece of veneer missing to side of lid and tiny piece from base at front near left band. The wood grain and dovetail joint on the lid needs clamping and fixing (nothing missing) - See pictures for condition. Generally good untouched, original condition with a lovely patina.
