ANTIQUE BANQUET LAMP CHERUB ANGEL URN VASE ORNATE DECORATED GLOBE ESTATE NR Album Beautiful antique banquet lamp that really has a lot of eye appeal. The cherub appears to be in a vase or urn with arms resting on the rim of the vase. This was, of course, powered by kerosene in the beginning - however, it has been electrified for many years. The cord would appear to be the original and it is very frayed. The lamp does work, but the cord desperately needs replacing. I think this is probably a Bradley Hubbard lamp and would guess that the closure for the font is where it would have been marked. This is now where the on/off switch is located. Stands 27 1/2" high to the top of the chimney. The globe may or may not be the original, but it fits correctly and still has the brass rim around the top. The decorations are floral. This is very Victorian in design and it is in great - as found - condition. Weighs 6 1/4 pounds before packing - and will require extra packing. Believe it would be from the late 1800's.
