ANTIQUE BARDOU & SON RIFLE RANGE TELESCOPE Made in Paris in the 19th Century This fine old four draw telescope is in good condition. Constructed of brass with a leather covering, strap and end caps, this telescope would make a find addition to your collection. It is marked "Bardou & Son, Paris, Rifle Range Telescope, Power 33 Times." This is a beautifully made instrument: the eyepiece has a sliding dust cover, the brass is knurled at the end of each draw, the sewn leather cover is well constructed and the fine brass threads on the eyepiece and sun shade are in excellent condition. The only problem with this telescope is that the stitching on the larger section of leather covering has deteriorated and the leather is loose. The lenses are in excellent condition with no cracks or scratches. The telescope measures 10" long in its closed position, 37" long extended and at its largest point is 2 1/4" in diameter.
