The company originally focused on the production of coffee, tea, and chocolate serving sets. The gold mark used on this chocolate pot was used by Bauer & Pfeiffer from 1904 until 1931.DESCRIPTIONThis listing is for an antique marked Bauer & Pfeiffer Wurttemberg hand painted porcelain chocolate pot and lid set. Both the chocolate pot and the lid carry a motif of hand painted pink garden rose flowers as well as rose buds and hand painted green rose foliage. The rim and edges of the lid carry a circular hand painted gold gilt bubble like decoration with highlights of turquoise blue moriage beading. The handle, finial, and lower edge of the chocolate pot have been decorated with hand painted gold gilt as well. The bottom of the chocolate pot carries the gold underglaze Bauer & Pfeiffer backstamp mark.CONDITIONThis antique Bauer & Pfeiffer Wurttemberg chocolate pot and lid set is in wonderful condition. The hand painted porcelain is free of any signs of damage such as chips, cracks, flea bites, and repairs. There has been wear to the hand painted gold gilt on the handle and the trim on the bottom of the chocolate pot which can be seen in the photographs provided. I did notice some staining on the bottom of the inside of the chocolate pot in the seam between the bottom and the sides of the pot. I also noticed that you can see a faint area underneath the spout of the chocolate pot which runs to the lower edge which appears to be just a slightly darker coloration to the glazing. This antique chocolate pot and lid set has come from a smoke free estate collection and is odor free.~ SHIPPING COSTS ~ I will be shipping this item to you via Fed Ex Ground shipping.
