Any bright white spots in the pictures are caused by lighting unless noted otherwise. Description: WOW! Up for bid is one fabulous hand painted and signed Bavarian jardinier vase that is going to make someone very happy when they win it! This will please the most discriminate of collectors out t You can search and search and not find any of these jardiniers because collectors just don't let them go! It has heavy gold on the top that suggests an Art Nouveau style. It is outlighted in black to make it really stand out. The background shadows and foilage is painted with just as much painstaking detail as the flowers are. I'm pretty certain these flowers are nasturiums. They have bright, bold colors and excellent detail! The bottom of the vase is marked Bavaria and signed and dated by the artist. The date is 1914 but I am not quite able to make out the signature. The first initials are Z P and the last name starts with an R. I've given a good close up so perhaps you'll recognize it. 5 1/2" tall and 7 1/4" wide. The circumference is 22 1/2" so it's quite the statement piece! No cracks, chips or repairs. The inside is pristine so you know it's been well treasured and taken care of over the years. The gold is in very good condition too with only a tiny bit of wear and faint scratching. You really have to be right up close inspecting it under the light to even notice it. If you like it in the pictures you'll be sure to love it in person! Be sure to get your bids in early on this one! You'd hate to lose it at the last second to an auction sniper!
