Vintage 1927-1954 Tirschenreuth Hand Painted Porcelain Bavaria Plate w/Pond Lillies DOUFOR Here is a beautiful vintage plate, made of the finest white porcelain All hand painted and gilt with white Pond Lilly or Tulip flowers in a characteristic Art Deco taste Well signed by the artist - DOUFOR Marked on the bottom as pictured, in green with a shield mark and a ribbon mark - PT BAVARIA HAND PAINTED CHINA These marks stand for Porzellan Tirschenreuth of Bavaria, Germany, used between 1927 and 1954, but this particular plate was likely a pre-war issue from the 1930's. Another thing worth mentioning is that the ribbon mark indicates that the plate was factory painted, not a Hausemellerei (i.e home painted) Measurements: Approx. 8.5" diameter (across) Condition: Very Good overall, Please see photos
