This delightful, original coat, hat and umbrella stand is in mahogany and I understand it to be in the region of 60 + years old. Certainly it has been in our family for over 50 years and it was second-hand then! Other ones I have seen listed are classed as Edwardian but I cannot be sure that this is of that period.It is a sturdy piece of furniture (does not easily topple like the current style) and has a revolving top which can be removed for transporting purposes.It has been varnished at some time and this has rubbed off in places, so some cosmetic TLC would be required to enhance its appearance.
