Antique Binocular Microscope - Carl Zeiss Jena, made in Germany SN 171217This microscope is constructed of black lacquered metal with brass knobs and light tube.The Zeiss binocular eyepiece is marked SN 4512. The eyepiece swivels freely. The oculars are marked Carl Zeiss Jena K7x Bitukni. This eyepiece is used for stereoscopic observation of microscopic objects with a single objective, and was introduced after 1925.Note: it seems that a lens is loose in the right side of the binocular light tube.The front of the light tube is marked Carl Zeiss - Jena - Germany SN 171217.The 4-position turret has objectives: 90s, 66x, 40x, and 8xThe mirror in good condition, and the iris on the condenser works fine.I have not cleaned or polished this instrument as this can diminish collector value. It could use a good, gentle cleaning.
