DESCRIPTION:UP FOR ADOPTION here is an "adorable" antique character baby doll. Incised on the back of his bisque head is "K * R, 100". Reference attributes this baby doll to Kammer & Reinhardt, 1909+ Germany being known as "Kaiser" baby doll; the bisque socket heads were made by Simon & Halbig. This is bisque socket head with composition jointed baby doll body. I have shown an article from Antique Doll Magazine, May 2016, my photo #10. Baby has all fingers and toes intact accented with red lines for that "realistic" look. Doll is strung fine, jointed at the neck, shoulders and legs. Overall light wear, re-paint, some scuffs throughout for being 100 or so years old. A Great "expressive" face, he has painted blue eyes, molded eyelids accented with black eye liner, arched brown brows and molded mouth. Lovely coloring on his near "perfect" face. He has a little double baby chin. His modeling is excellent. He has painted molded blonde brush stroked hair. I flashed around this bisque head and do not see any hairlines or cracks, good bisque. Clothing is older, his shirt has the feel of silk, he wears blue cord shorts, tan hat being the same material as the shirt, red ribbon neck tie and knit booties. Some overall wear on clothing but nothing terrible at all. I have taken plenty of photos. Please look at my photos they will serve as part read more
