Unusual Black Forest Carved Wood Pipe, produced in the early 20th Century in Bohemia. Decorated with an intricately carved stag jumping through a woodland scene. Constructed from a dark wood with plated brass and Bakelite mounts with a wood and Bakelite stem. Not marked but guaranteed to be an early and original piece. Some wear and patina, conducive with age. This includes some cracks to the mount of the silver plated lid and ¾" crack to the Bakelite mount to the bottom of the pipe. Otherwise, in very good condition and displays beautifully. It measures approximately 17" in length with the wooden bowl measuring 4½" in length.
