Fine and large, antique, Black Forest carved walnut huntboard or buffet, circa 1870 . Fine, antique walnut, carved, Black Forest huntboard or buffet, the back has an arched pediment with a carved cartouche to the top, below this is a carved pheasant in an oval, to either side is carved foliate. Below is a shelf which is supported by a pair of carved architectural columns. The front has two drawers and two cupboard doors, the huntboard stands on compressed bun feet, all the secondary woods are oak, dovetailed construction throughout. The quality of the carving is excellent, condition is very good, this is a large piece of furniture at, 72" tall x 56" wide x 23" deep. A very fine antique Black forest huntboard in great condition! This is a true auction starting at $0.99 and sold without reserve. Do not be daunted by shipping, we ship at cost via the most economical carrier, for larger items of furniture I use Mike Caldwell Transport, who provides a door to door blanket wrapped service, at affordable rates.
