This beautiful antique necklace has 17 garnet starbursts in graduated sizes. The gems are set in gold-filled, gold-tone metal and the starbursts range in size from 5/16 inch to 1 1/4 inch wide. The entire length of the necklace is 15 inches. The clasp works well and the condition of the necklace is excellent. There are no chips, breaks or losses. There is a tiny watch hook affixed to the back of the largest, central starburst. There are no marks or signatures. This item was made circa 1880.
