ANTIQUE BOOK c1880 1st Ed GILDED ILLUSTRATED by PHIZ THE DISCONTENTED CHILDREN Offered here is an ANTIQUE BOOK dating to circa 1880. This is a FIRST EDITION and has a wonderfully DECORATIVE GILDED COVER and SPINE. This cover has influence from the Arts and Crafts , Aesthetic and Art Nouveau movements. This is titled THE DISCONTENTED CHILDREN AND HOW THEY WERE CURED . This novel was written by ELIZABETH KIRBY. This has ILLUSTRATIONS by PHIZ and was published by GRIFFITH, FARRAN, OKEDEN, & WELSH corner of ST PAULS CHURCHYARD LONDON . This has full page illustrations . There are 112 pages plus more detail. The book measures 16.5cms x 11cms. It is a readable example but the spine is loose , there are pencil inscriptions and there is browning and tears to some pages . I have many more ANTIQUARIAN and COLLECTABLE BOOKS , please take a look.They are all offered more cheaply than can be found elsewhere for a similar condition. I am also offering other Vintage Collectables and Antiques I have collected over the last 50 years or so. I am now in my 70s and it is time for my pieces to find new homes where they can be loved for years to come.
