This auction is for a very unique antique publication entitled CAMERA STORIES IN AND ABOUT ST. JOSEPH (Michigan) . This turn-of-the-century book is full of wonderful black and white photos of St. Joseph and vicinity ... Wonderful photography, 32 pages in all. Subject matter includes scenery, buildings, along with lifestyles of the day ... Measures 10 1/2" x 7 1/2" closed, 21" x 7 1/2" when open ... This was published exclusively for Burkhard Bros., St. Joseph, Mich., with photographs by W.F. Sesser, St. Joseph, Mich., and printed by A.B. Morse Co., St. Joseph, Mich. Cardstock cover with two staples at spine ... spotting on front cover, with some minor spotting on first page. The rest of the book is very clean, especially considering its age. T is a slight fold at lower right hand corner, but could easily be pressed out. This was found stored in an antique shop in Southern California, so I have no idea of its history, or how it ever ended up w it did ... But I bet this book has some interesting stories of its own it could tell! The introduction page reads: "This portfolio of pictures has been published to meet the demand which has long existed for something of this kind. tofore, a few photographs of varying sizes and shapes, uncertain in supply and high in price, have been the only things procurable.
