Two Antique Brass Whist Markers *** Offered at No Reserve! *** This listing is for two brass Whist markers . The rims are numbered 0-9. In the middle are raised pointing hands. When you turn the rim, the hands point at different numbers. Each one measures l.5" wide. The backings bear the registration mark for 1860. There are no maker's marks, but these could have been produced for Goodall or De la Rue. These markers were used to keep track of scores in the playing card game Short Whist, a precurser to the game of Bridge. They are in good condition, without any dents, dings, or damages to mention.
