Description ( revised ) A.S. MORSS CO. BOSTON PORT (RED) SHIPS LANTERN RAREConstructed of brass. INCLUDES OVAL FONT AND BURNER. Anthony S. Morss was a ships chandler in the late 1800's in Boston,Mass. This lantern is in very good condition. Nice patina. Shipping weight 3 to 4 lbs. The lamp works. The font leaks a little. The bail has been replaced with copper wire. The mount has been re-soldered at some point. See pictures. 8.25" high 6.125" at widest point. I have collected ship's lanterns for years but am moving and downsizing. SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS!!!
