Just in time for the upcoming holidays is this lot of antique and vintage bells of various kinds, including a large brass sleigh bell, six smaller sleigh bells mounted on a leather strap, and an antique bell percussion instrument! Oh, the joyous sounds you'll make this winter season! Starting with the large antique brass horse bell, it measures about 2" in diameter. It is very heavy and showing its age in the form of stress cracks in the metal. It has mellowed to a nice, dark patina. Next is featured a vintage set of six silver colored metal bells that are 1 1/4" in diameter, mounted on a leather strap with a buckle. The strap, including the buckle, measures 17" long. And last, there is an antique percussion instrument of sorts. Six bells total are attached to old cloth straps that are further secured to a turned wooden handle. The handle is painted black and is pleasingly worn with age and use. The one inch bells are rusty, and the cloth straps are time worn. All emit a rich festive sound, in differing pitches, depending on their sizes! They will surely add to your holiday festivities, whether used to enhance your interiors, or put to use in a caroling outing on a brisk winter's evening!
