This is an antique Breakstone's American cheese box 1927. These boxes were used to pack and ship cheeses and butter to restaurants in the 1920-30's. The box measures 12" long X 3 1/2" tall, and width of 4". The box is clean and the box writing is plain and legible, the side says "Breaktone Bros, Inc. New York, Buffalo, Chicago, Freeport, IL". Most of the boxes never survived so few of these remain out t, I know t are collections in museums but you can have your very own. Some people hung onto them because they made good storage boxes for tools or screws. I have several boxes to sell, different types and brands of butter or cheeses.
