Up for auction is a beautiful Antique bronze sculpture. It is in the shape of a pear. Specifically it is a Bartlett pair I believe. It is a beautifully sculpted piece very realistic in look and feel even. It feels like the skin on a real Bartlett would. It is a heavy little piece. It looks like an original sculpted piece. Not a recast of another sculpture. I would say from the late 1800's-early 1900's. It is unmarked though. It has a nice original antique patina to it. Never been polished or cleaned. It has a nice little stem on the top. The surface is very detailed when you look closely you can see how the artist which made it had sculpted the mold this one was made from. Recasting aren't this detailed. This one has a plaster or stoneware like core inside of it. It has only two tiny pots of wear which show in the pictures on the side as well as on the bottom which is expected from sitting it on furniture. It measures approx. 3" by 2-1/2".
