I purchased in Maine at our local auction, 5 large boxes full of antique buttons and I mean some of the most amazing buttons I’ve ever seen….sadly, I don’t know a thing about buttons, so I’m going to do my best at describing them to you but please if I miss something let me know and I’ll be glad to correct / clarify it for you. Condition - again, I am not a button expert but I purged everything that I thought is an imperfection; however I hate to do it because what I think might be an imperfection you may not. Let’s see how the first few listings go, and if you want to give me some suggestions I would love it! This particular listing is for: 100's of BEAUTIFUL antique celluloid and some plastic and maybe vegetable buttons too. I think most of the large grouping are Celluloid…and maybe the big BLACK ones could be even rubber…the large button grouping that looks like tortoise (not the small very detailed ones) look like they’re either a thick celluloid or they’re plastic, I’m so sorry I just don’t know enough to determine, I hope you can with the pictures I've supplied.... I know they’re really old but I can’t tell you exactly how old. I think they’re in great condition especially for being so old….but some (most all) are dirty from just being around so long, and just the small ones mostly in the huge groupings some have metal discoloration
