Antique Boston & Sandwich Pitcher Magnificent Cobalt Blue Glass Georgian to Victorian Era circa 1830 - 1870 Antique Early American Pitcher Cobalt blue, hand blown cream pitcher -- the darkest blue, it is almost purple. A note found inside reads, "diamond-molded creamer, cobalt blue, footed, possibly Steigel, 1772 - 1800", and is signed by the previous owner. I'm not sure about this assessment. My belief is that it was made by Boston & Sandwich Glass or New England. The diamond pattern is more pronounced in person. It measures 3-1/4 tall. EXCELLENT CONDITION It is in perfect condition other than the lower tail on the handle being rough. No nibbles, not a scratch, or other condition issues. Interior is clean, no use wear at all. Any white lines or specks are light reflections only. This is the note found inside the pitcher: Early American Blown Glass Jug No disappointments GUARANTEED as described or I'll gladly buy it back.
