For sale is a n Footed Oval Server with lid Maker: Theodore Haviland, Limoges, France Backstamp shows in Red.....Theodore Haviland (The odore is underlined, cursive writing). Bene ath that is Limoges (in cursive), and then under that is the word FRANCE (in capitals). There is also the TH stamp depressed in the p orcelain. All of this indicates that this piece was made circa 1903 and it is a true antique in age. Measures 4.5"tall w /lid on, 2.5"tall w/o lid on, 11.25"long-handle to handle, 9 3/8"long, 7"wide White porcelain with thick gold trim at the footed base, vessel handles, lid handle, and around the body , with gold also around the edge of the lid There is evidence of gold rub where one would carry or handle (i .e.; underside & top of handles, top of lids handle). Please use the zoom fe ature for close up inspection. No chips, cracks, crazing, utensil scratch or discoloration. Smooth all the way around. Other than the gold rub, this piece looks as though i t was not used and sat in a c upboard for decades. I usually ship within 24 hours after receipt of payment. YS1
