I wished I could tell more about this candle stick, but I know nothing about it. I have seen Vienna bronze that resemble this piece very much, sometimes referred to as "cold painted". It is old and shows wear to the paint. The underbelly of the camel is marked Germany. There has been no restoration attempt and it is in its original condition. I am not sure what the base metal is -- tin, lead, pewter or maybe something else. The candle stick measures 7" in height, the camel with bedouin 4.5". Please write with questions prior to bidding.
