This is a beautiful figure of a young man/cherub, beside a log fire, either putting on, or removing his robe. The figure is signed "Franco". It has a 'Capodimonte style' crowned 'N' mark, but is probably German in origin, possibly Dresden. It has the signature 'Franco'. The lower level of the base has a gloss glaze, but the rest, including the figure has a 'matte' Parian ware finish.Age is difficult to ascertain, but I would say it is probably late 19th century.Condition is good overall with the exception of two faults (see last 2 Pics) ... a chip to the base, and the tips of the fingers of the left hand are missing.Size is ... 17cm tall x 11cm wide
