Antique Carved Eastlake Frame w Old Botanical Print This charming antique (circa late 1800's) Eastlake frame is quite unusual & a beautiful match with the old botanical print. The natural wood area is light (birch or maple, perhaps?) with a mottled sponged finish. The corners are carved in Eastlake motifs. A gold gesso deep border lines the frame with black ebonized & red enameled borders. The sides are ebonized. I've included lots of photos...if they are slow to appear, click on your refresh tab. The botanical lithographed print is entitled "Loudon Florals 1783-1843" with a tiny "HBC Pictures" logo. The delicate flowers (Primrose?) are in shades of red, yellow, blue & white. The frame measures 12" by 10" and extends 1.5" from the wall. The print area is 8" by 6". Both frame & print are in very good condition. The print is free of any damage or wear (no stains, creases, or tears) The frame is also fine. Minor signs of age are insignificant chips on the corners & a tear to the paper backing. Good luck on this lovely & unusual antique frame & print!
