Up for auction is this Rare Antique 8" Carved Jointed Wood Wooden Peg Doll / Hitty Type Doll in her Original Clothing with Hand Painted Hair & Features She is a lovely doll with her very large black painted eyes. She is all jointed with what feels like metal attachments, so that she may sit with ease but she needs a stand to stand up right.(I can't remove her clothing it is sewn on to her body)All her clothing and face paint is original.She has very large black painted eyes and a red circle mouth.Her hair is painted black and has a few rub marks. I can not see any visible markings. She stands about 8 inches tall (20.3cm) DOLL CONDITION : She is a very lovely doll. All original with nice paint job. I think she is from the 1930s She has a few rubs This Lovely Wooden Doll would be a nice addition to your antique collection. She would also be great prop for a larger antique doll.
