Antique Carved Tiger Eye Cameo Victorian Locket Pendant Necklace Victorian Period antique carved Tiger Eye cameo locket pendant necklace in Gold Filled. Estimated to date from the 1880's, locket measures 1 7/8" tall including the bail. Beautifully decorated with a combination of chasing and repousse. Front features a small hand carved cameo in Tiger Eye stone. Reverse side is also decorated except for the area equivalent to the cameo. This rectangular blank area can be engraved if desired. Overall shape is bell like, with hinge on the top. Once opened it reveals the original photograph. Condition is good for age with minor darkening of some inside areas, some loss of plating to the high points and small loss at the corners of the cameo, none is obvious when worn. Photo cover is included as well as the bezel that holds the image. Unmarked and carefully tested, we added a vintage gold filled textured rollo chain so it can be worn right away. The chain is newer than the locket, in excellent condition, dating from the late 1920's.
