You are bidding on this outstanding original condition cauldron or kettle. Measurements are 15"L x 12"W x 11.5"H. Capacity is approx. three gallons with a couple of inches to spare; that's about 50 cups. Condition is outstanding with no pits, dents, warpage. The inside is as SMOOTH AS SILK with a fabulous clean jet black patina finish. Lid slits flat and tight. T is a small boss on one side to rest the heavy bail handle. The inside of the lid has basting rings and is embossed with the number 1301. Notice the fine detailing in the bail hinge and drip rings. These old authentic American items are becoming scarce and are SURE TO INCREASE IN VALUE.
