Offered here, an antique, cast iron parrot which may have b een intended to be a doorstop, a bookend, or simply a sculpture. Measuring 6 1/2" x 3" and weighing about 2 lbs 4 o zs this little figure could serve all three purposes. There is no m aker's mark and no iden tifying number but the castin g here is very nice and the original paint enhances the appreciation of the casting. This piece is i n very good condition with no flaws that I can see. Probably created around 1900, perhaps a little earlier. Thanks for looking into my aucti ons.
