This was a recent farm find very nice cast iron South Bend Chilled Plow Co. seat. After researching this seat, it was manufactured by the Knoblock Brothers Manufacturing Co. it was probably produced in the late 1800's and was probably a plow seat. We don't know if the seat marked South Bend came before or after the Oliver Chilled Plow Seat. The seat is in real good condition. It has surface pitting, and is as seen in photos . Looked it over several times and do not see any cracks. This would make a very nice collector seat.Approximately 16 3/4"W x 14 1/2" See other Antique Cast iron Tractor seats we are now selling.
