Up for bids at auction: Up for bids is this large antique, Cast Iron Tractor/ Horse Drawn Farm Implement Seat. This great looking old seat was a barn find from an old farm estate in Southern Iowa and has been cleaned and rubbed with an all-natural beeswax to protect and preserve it’s beautiful old iron patina and is ready for display anywhere. Overall, this big old basket style seat measures roughly 15 ½ by 18 3/8 inches wide, 5 ¼ inches deep. If you examine the seat closely, there are three small old braize marks, evidently where cast in the cast webbing had been repaired long ago; however, they are very easily overlooked and the seat is still structurally solid with no flex. Still a very good antique iron seat that’s ready for display in any collection. Please refer to the pictures and feel free to email with any questions.
