You are bidding on a very unusual antique blue and white floral " Cauldon Ware" porcelain chamberstick .Brown-Westhead ,Moore & Co. 1862-1904 of Staffordshire England started using the "Cauldon Ware" mark on its items in 1890, this chamberstick should date to the early 1900's. It measures 8" overall height, x 6 1/2 " overall width ( including handle) base diameter is 4 3/4 ". T is a very, very tiny chip on the bottom outside edge of the base (underneath) but does not show on the outside.T are 3 spouts around the edge of the candle cup to aid in wax removal, and a nice large curved handle to carry it with. This is a very striking piece,with rich blue color,and has been in our collection for over 20 yrs now, ( got to thin things out) It was purchased from a local collector of fine porcelain,at her estate sale.
