Up for auction is this great Up for auction is this great Antique Ceramic German Mettlach Cup Beaker Stein Stadt Berlin. This is a very nice Antique circa early 1900's ceramic beaker or tall cup with the words STADT BERLIN and a great design of a standing black bear crest shield and green leaves. The bottom is marked and indented mark of Made in Gemany, Mettlach Reg - U , the indented castle mark and the number 2397 and a painted name of Geschutzt 1200. The cup is also marked and indented near the top with 1/4 liter. The condition is very good with no cracks or major damage , t is only one very small flea bite chip on the top edge as the only damage at all. The beasker measures 5 inches tall and is 2 and 3/4 inches in diameter on the top. This is one of a matching set of two cups with the other one having the city name of Stuttgart .
