Up for auction are these six Antique Wooden Chairs with woven cane bottoms. These chairs are over 100 years old. The bottoms are in good to great condition, each showing some loose or broken cane strips. One of the chairs has a different type of cane. You can see this and the wear on the cane in the pictures. All six are sturdy and have strong joints, frames are not split or cracked. The varnish has darkened over the years so it I cannot identify the wood type. Each chair weighs about 7 pounds 11 ounces except no.6 with the different bottom, it weighs 8 pounds 3 ounces. (This is not shipping weight) Total height of the chairs is 35 inches, seat height is 17.5 inches and 17.5inches across at the front. All chairs have an original thin black paint outline along the legs and seat backs which is rare and identifies the six as a set. I have taken pictures of the flaws that I could find. Overall these are in very, very good condition for their age. As they are, they look primitve/rustic with the old varnish. These are simple chairs that would refinish beautifully. Any questions?
