You are bidding on an Antique Designer Mahogany Drop Leaf Dining Room Extension Table. This is a RARE FIND because of its size, age and beauty and was VERY WELL made and labeled by Charak Furniture Co who has made some of the HIGHEST quality case goods in the market place. This is the famous "Danbury" Table that was done by Charak that is a drop leaf that is dated 1930 with beautiful banded inlays bordered by a pencil line stringing inlay design. This table sits on a beautifully carved base with 4 nicely curved legs with beautifully fluted trim work. It is finished on all of its sides with beautiful banded and inlaid drawers. Please understand this came from a private estate and has some minor imperfections consistent with its age that may need some professional touch up at your discretion and is all original. It has a beautiful and exotic naturally figured wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures with the Charak label that is shown in the photo but you can see the label with the information that has the shop number, model number and finish number with their guarantee of Genuine Mahogany. Its American made with quality that they simply just do not make them like they use to and I would say Charak is one of the of the fine American Furniture makers of the 20th Century and to find one on the secondary market is a rarity. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses anything that is made today and all wood construction but Please understand that this is an antique so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age but overall its in excellent shape.When the table is closed it measures approx 39 inches wide, 28 inches high and approx 25 3/4 inches closed.
