Here is an antique Charles E. Hall Company of Buffalo New York specialized adjustable wrench that is designed to be able to spread cotter pins with wedge at top backside of wrench and taper on other end is to be able to pull out and remove cotter pin from bolt to unlock bolt or nut. Wrench could then be used to remove nut or bolt. Stamped with 'No. 15' for the model of the wrench. Measures 7 1/8" in length which would make the wrench ideal for a tool kit for an early bicycle or motorcycle. Charles E. Hall Company was purchased by the Barcalo Tool Company in 1914 which will date the wrench from 1914 or earlier. Overall good used condition. Some surface rust and pitting as shown. Minor dings to back side from use. Some distortion to jaws of wrench from use. Wrench easily and smoothly adjusts as intended.
