This is a wonderful piece of Black Americana, Mom was a collector and had a strong belief that we should keep reminders of our history, the good and the bad and always said that if we ever forgot about the inequalities and discrimination of those years then it can all too easily be allowed to happen again. This children's book is one of many from the mid century that had a theme of Black American life. Titled LITTLE BROWN KOKO, and published in 1940 by American Colortype co. A story about a littel brown boy and his antics, condition is not that great, certainly compared what what Mom had paid for it. She stored it away in a little display cabinet along with similar themes. We will include the receipt that she paid for the book. As always shipping is free for this book. Sadly Mom is no longer with us to enjoy this item and it is time that someone else enjoyed it. 10 3/4 inches by 7 3/4 inches approx. 96 pages. The binding is a little loose and it is fairly beat up.
