Antique Chinese Cloisonne Desk Set w/ Opium Lamp Lions DESCRIPTION The finest cloissone workmanship in black enamel and brass wire on this wonderful desk set with 3 Chinese Foo Dogs or Lions. Only a very important person probably a foreign ambassador or a merchant from somew other than China had the means to own a desk set or opium tray like this. Nineteenth century, ca 1880 or earlier. One small chip in the enamel is on the inside lid does not detract from the piece. Otherwise it is in excellent condition. and maybe a cap was attached to the chain on it, but still wonderful condition for its age, over 100 years old. Measures 15-1/2" x 7" x 1-1/2" A treasure to any collector.
