Description This Chinese export porcelain teacup and saucer set is an excellent example of the wares produced during the reign of the Chinese emperor Kangxi (1662-1722). Both the cup and the saucer are attractively molded in the shape of a flower. The central decoration of the saucer and the interior decoration of the cup consist of a large flower. On the saucer this central flower is surrounded by two attractive bands. The same bands can be found at the exterior of the cup. The overall appearance is quite unique for wares from this period. Both the cup and the saucer are marked with a symbol. Diameter saucer 4.5 inches (11 cm) and height cup 1.5 inches (3.5 cm). Age Kangxi, circa 1700. Guaranteed over 250 years old. Condition Excellent, with both the cup and the saucer having some small chips and wear to the rim.
