A ntique Chinese Qing Dynasty Carved Cow Horn Ruyi Septre, Circa 1900 . Made of cow horn, this ruyi septre measures 227 mm in length and 62 mm in width. It weighs 64 grams. The horn is carved as a branch of lingzhi fungus. The stem is carved with openwork branches, each terminating in a lingzhi fungus. The ruyi form head is carved with scrolls and has two openwork branches to the underside. This is unsigned / unmarked. Although this is carved in the Ming dynasty style, it most likely dates from the Qing dynasty. The condition is generally excellent, without damage or repair, the horn has striation marks, which is the patina of age and there is a small chip to the openwork branches below the head .
